“Feng Shui reveals how every aspect of our lives—family, work, creativity and play—can be deeply enriched by an environment in harmony with nature. Its ancient wisdom guides us in creating surroundings that nourish the human spirit.”
Katrine T. Karley is a Master Practitioner of Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement that fosters well-being, harmony and prosperity. Katrine provides consultation in planning, building and interior design of homes, retail and office spaces, residential parks and schools. She combines time-honored traditions with a distinctly modern interpretation for an international clientele. Katrine studies all aspects of Feng Shui with world renowned authority Master Lin Yun.
Her services are in demand at the inception of residential and commercial projects, for locating the most beneficial sites for new buildings, and in assessing the most auspicious influences for urban retail structures. She has conducted Feng Shui consultations in China, Mexico, Turkey, Paris and Poland.
Katrine’s latest project is a new, green Middle School building for Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School, a private institution in Manatee County. The building is a 21,600 SF two story building that is designed to LEED® Gold Certification level. It opens January 2010.
Katrine completed the Executive Office for Chico’s FAS at the corporation’s headquarters in Ft. Meyers, Florida. Her extensive portfolio includes Kanaya, the first completely “green” 33-unit condominium in Sarasota, FL. The award-winning 30-million dollar project embodies the serenity and harmonious energy generated by intentional design.
On the Gulf Coast, Katrine was instrumental in shaping Amberwynd, a 36-acre island community, where she guided placement of homes and landscaping for the award-winning project. Dean Witter Reynolds has utilized her talents for office design.
In 2005, Katrine utilized Feng Shui principles for development of a multi-million dollar cosmetics line based in Mexico City. She conducted clearing for a state-of-the-art 3-story showroom/warehouse, and traveled throughout China to develop concepts and designs for the complete line.
With an extensive background in interior design, gemology and image and color consultations, Katrine’s gifts find full expression in practicing Feng Shui. She integrates her command of the ancient Chinese art with aspects of psychology, ecology, and architectural and esthetic studies.
Katrine conducts seminars and workshops for the public, retail staff, and real estate agents. She has taught a community college course in Feng Shui and has presentations at Prudential Realty and Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida, at numerous bookstores, and to private groups.
Katrine’s Feng Shui practice has been profiled in print, on television and radio. Her work in project development, architecture, building and business has been covered in the Sarasot Herald Tribune, International Feng Shui Journal, and Homebuilders. She has published numerous articles; her work is featured in the Feng Shui Anthology (Earth Design Press, 1997).
